ST JOHN'S, Antigua:

Twenty-one-year-old Jorginho James, a Jamaican footballer who plays for the Harbour View FC and the Jamaica national football team as a midfielder, is the lone standout from the first two legs of the Major League Soccer (MLS) sponsored Caribbean Football Union Combine.

James has been selected to attend the MLS Combine in South Florida from January 8-13, 2016.

He participated in the St Kitts leg from December 13-16 alongside compatriots and other players from Anguilla; Antigua and Barbuda; British Virgin Islands; St Kitts; and United States Virgin Islands.

"We at the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) would like to offer congratulations to Jorginho and wish him the best as he advances to the Stateside Combine. I saw him at the St. Kitts Combine and he displayed the talent, tendencies and work ethics a cut above the rest, and I know I join with all of the CFU in sending him positive vibes," CFU General Secretary Neil Cochrane said.

The third and final leg of the Combine will be held in Martinique from January 1-4, featuring players from the host country Barbados; Bermuda; Dominica; French Guiana; Grenada; Guadeloupe; St Maarten; St Martin; St Vincent; and St Lucia.

Curacao hosted Aruba, Bonaire, Dominican Republic, and Guyana for the December 17-20 leg.
